Historic Millinery Workshop

The history of Rome’s oldest hat workshop began in 1936 thanks to a family of hatters already working in Tuscany and continued in 2003 thanks to the passion and determination of Patrizia Fabri, who took it over and renamed it Antica Manifattura Cappelli, thus keeping alive a rare example of the world of handmade hats.

2000 wooden shapes mean that Antica Manifattura Cappelli, between innovation and tradition, is still able to cover more than a century of hat design.

Antica Manifattura Cappelli collaborates with the most important international designers, making hats for fashion shows, including Elie Saab, Sergio Rossi, Gattinoni, Fausto Puglisi, Capucci and Givenchy, as well as unique pieces for artistic performances, such as Madonna’s for the Brit Awards or Lady Gaga’s for her concert.

A millinery history spanning from 1936
